#xivwomenweek | #gposers | #wyrafic - Day 1 / 1.0 It is easy to try and flee the past, and more difficult to face it: Y'shtola and Minfilia make one final plea to whatever is left of Wyra's good nature. Ellipsus: ellipsus.com/read/uHzLALX... AO3: archiveofourown.org/works/93859271

"What do you wish out of this exchange, Wyra? An admittance of a guilty conscience?"

Infuriatingly, Wyra shrugs. "Dunno. Seems like your new little organization is one enough, isn't it? Gotta fix the panic from a world you couldn't save." He swirls his glass of rum in his hand.

"And that is what you're doing," the words in her mouth are dry and scathing, "saving it?"

The grin on Wyra's face is foreign and unsuited for her. "Oh, I have no pretenses of bein' anyone's hero."

The letter that Y'shtola held onto felt hot in her pocket, fury bubbling and threatening to move from being a stone in her stomach and throat. Against her better judgment, she removes it from her pocket and slams it back down on the table in front of him, as if to now prove a point.

Maybe this was her last hope.

Y'shtola stands with her arms crossed as Wyra lounges smugly on a couch behind her just ever so slightly out of focus, surrounded by two red-headed women and one brunette. Y'shtola appears annoyed with whatever Wyra is saying.

Minfilia smiles slightly to herself as she looks over a wax seal on a letter at her desk in the Waking Sands, slightly illuminated by candlelight.

Wyra sits with her head in her hand as she slumps over in her chair in her Captain's Quarters, tired of the decisions she has made, and worried she will regret the one she will.

On the left, Zero's face is visible, appears with her reaper costume. On the right, her voidsent appearance is hardly visible within the darkness; the only light is the red one her hand has.

Venat, an NPC from Final Fantasy 14, stands against a pitch black background with the mothercrystal illuminating her from behind in bright blue. Her face is obscured by the darkness except for her eyes, which glow with the same colors of the crystal. She also has crystal shards breaking through the skin of her face.

#BlacktoberXIV #oc:Magena 3. Self-Love In a world that would betray me, sexualize me, use me. I choose to be the heart other's won't afford me. And in the end, there will be no love worth the price of my own

Magena dances with herself, a succubi tail shadows around their bow. The leading Magena is kissing the underjaw of the following Magena, who cracks a small smile. Her eyes are obscured from the camea, but you can see her lower lashes below the brim of her bang. Behind the duo, an array of Succubi watch their masters play

“Do you ever think about it?” The blue jongleur rests her chin on her hand, gazing out the window at the endless Light. Behind her, the red jongleur idly picks the petals off azure blooms, watching them dance as they float towards the floor.

“About what, sister?”

“If we had not been born Eulmoran, the lives we might have led.”

“Oh, don’t say such frightening things!” cries the red jongleur. Her precious flowers are now strewn all about her, having been scattered in her faux panic. “Life here is wonderful, just perfect. Why even think about something so horrible?”

The blue jongleur turns and offers a sly smile. “Oh, you know me. Always playing the tragedy to your comedy.”

“Well maybe you should learn from me, hm? Lighten up a bit!”

She looks at the bright blue blooms, so cruelly abandoned by her sister. It’s true—she has always been the one more prone to pessimistic musings. Perhaps it’s all the meddling the Crystarium has been doing that’s got her in a sour mood. The Light bounces so wonderfully off her sister’s hair, skin, smile, What would she do if she could no longer see it? If she had never seen it?

“Come,” says the red jongleur, and her sister does. “I want to show you all the lovely flowers our soldiers found the other day.”

Illustration of the person resembling Ysayle that shows up in a flash during patch 7.56 of Final Fantasy XIV. They have their eyes closed and a serene expression, with their hair flowing into the wind. The background is a blue sky and, at the bottom, a sea of clouds permeates it. The texture of the piece is made to callback to weaving, with it either slowly falling apart or reassembling at the seams.
