I strongly believe schools should bring children together rather than try to impose one religious identity on them. If you agree - please add your name and call on the Education Secretary to introduce inclusive assemblies for all, and to keep dangerous Christian Nationalism OUT of our schools.

This week on his TV show, Nigel Farage laughed at a clip of a woman in tears because of the racism she’d experienced. “I can’t stop laughing,” he said. When people tell you who they are, believe them. And then don’t vote Reform.

How they engender apathy - between trying to cope with the utter nonsense and obvious lies plus the terrifying implications of real horrors, they want everyone to sit out elections, be content with scraps and stop thinking about it all. Not just in America. Rather hoping they get rage instead.

“Life is crap, vote for us” is a losing message. The first half is not true and, even if it were, the second does not follow. Farage…used to know all this.” But now he just lines his pockets while he moans and exudes hatred and disloyalty. We’re very bored of it. giftarticle.ft.com/giftarticle/...

Glad folks are appalled by photos of the "phone booth" cage under an awning, but pls understand: This IG report is likely part of a cover-up. Amnesty Int'l interviewed detainees EIGHT MONTHS AGO who said the cage was half this size (couldn't stand up), had no awning, w feet chained to the bottom.

This US far-right infiltration of Britain should be of more concern to us all, but particularly the British government than it is. It is an obvious reason why we shouldn't be using Palantir for anything at all. They're as much a threat to our National Security as China or Russia.

Rhina Espaillat, for your labor day weekend
"FIND WORK”
I tie my Hat--I crease my Shawl--
Life's little duties do--precisely
As the very least
Were infinite--to me--
                   Emily Dickinson, #443

My mother's mother, widowed very young
of her first love, and of that love's first fruit,
moved through her father's farm, her country tongue
and country heart anaesthetized and mute
with labor. So her kind was taught to do—
"Find work," she would reply to every grief—
and her one dictum, whether false or true,
tolled heavy with her passionate belief.
Widowed again, with children, in her prime,
she spoke so little it was hard to bear
so much composure, such a truce with time
spent in the lifelong practice of despair.
But I recall her floors, scrubbed white as bone,
her dishes, and how painfully they shone.
