We have some great players and we have an attractive and effective system for dominating matches. We just need the players to click (they're getting there) and a match-fit 9 who can convert all the chances we're creating. Unfortunately that last one is a keystone rather than polish. There's hope.

Kudus had a great game too - strong engine and in the first half made some confident runs. Their defence struggled with Savio too - all the parts are there we just need to pull them together to get some results on the board

Kinsky couldn't do anything about Mbuemo's goal but he made the saves he needed to at crucial moments of the game. Destiny is a Rolls-Royce of a defender when fully fit. Engine for days, his pace is a real asset in both attack & defence. Archie made some fantastic forward runs. Defended well too.

Some unsung heroes: Thought it was Tonali's best game in a Spurs shirt last night. The energy, incisive passing and drive were all back. Lucas ran his nuts off. Had some great interceptions and his discipline, often his Achilles heel, steadily in check. Senesi was absolutely brilliant.

Yeah, I've been looking for parallels too but I don't think there are any. Even all the other FFP/PSR violations like Everton, etc. have been less nefarious - simple overspend, without the conspiracy or false accounting. Genuinely new territory here.
