Whenever those type of public figure apologies come out, my mind always goes to "the woman who wasn't there". He had a position that made him someone assault victim could trust and share with, since he talked about that in his work. And this is just a gut punch to discover that specific skeleton

Whether a rapist has done work is shown in how said rapist deals with allegations, how the process manifests in actions and whatever else. I don't think the way most rapists conduct themselves show they do any work really because rapists don't really have anything to fear even in progressive groups

Ok I have a small gripe with this because I think the focus on forgiveness is pretty bad and kinda Christian and leads people to look at the victim for a kind of guidance like "can I please enjoy my rapist miss victim please" and also this turns into resentment of the victim by giving her power over

I also find it strange that very few seem to notice that the Title IX info was public record, Geller built a large platform, so he made the circumstance by which this might get brought back up, it just took someone looking.
