A hundred percent. The beating heart of going on an adventure to save (and see!) the world... its so earnest and yet alternatingly spooky or silly. It rules so much

Experimental post: The Duality of Whacka In the Switch version of Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, Whacka can finally be fought, and has a suspiciously specific 108 HP. The game both offers a ridiculously simplistic explanation for this as well as a complex one steeped in Dharmic symbolism.

In Paper Mario, the original version of Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, and Super Paper Mario, Whacka was just a harmless whack-a-mole creature that could be abused to get Whacka Bumps, extremely valuable healing items. After being hit enough times, the Whacka goes extinct, teaching the players the consequences of their actions. However, in the Switch version of Paper Mario: TTYD, he instead moves to the bottom of the Pit of 100 Trials and becomes an optional superboss with 108 HP.
He is fought at the bottom of the Pit of 100 Trials and has to be hit 8 times in order for the fight to activate.
but also
The number 108 is considered sacred by the Dharmic religions, such as Hinduism, Buddhism, and Jainism.
Whacka symbolizes karma for killing him in past games
ring the bell 108 times, per Japanese tradition? The ringing of the bell represents the 108 bonno-defilements of man..
Buddhism holds the view that there are precisely 108 temptations on the path to Nirvana.
Therefore, in order to reach Nirvana, every Buddhist must resist 108 earthly temptations.
With a combination of any of the elements of the above four factors, there are 108 ways with which the karmas can be attracted to the soul.
the earthly temptation to get those Whacka Bumps
There are 108 qualities of praiseworthy souls
Some people think that the human spirit travels through 108 stages, while others believe that enlightenment is attainable with just 108 breaths each day while in Intense meditation,
108 beads to awaken your inner light
Meditators count mantra repetitions with mala beads of 108, (100 counted for self, 8 for mistakes and for those who have not the opportunity to meditate in mantra)
108 breaths to return to your truth
108 mantras to dissolve ego into dever
108 steps from the self to the soul
The Sacred Meaning of 108 Temple Steps
the journey to Whacka is a journey of enlightenment

Differences in housing policy post-Surge couldn't be more stark. Both councils passed a temporary 60-day notice requirement for nonpayment evictions. Minneapolis: the mayor vetoed and council centrists refused to override. On pace for record evictions. St. Paul passed it veto-proof. Down 15% YOY

an unfortunate thing is that one of the only lasting things from games like DMC or Bayonetta is just a lot of people think good action game is when its flashy and you can juggle enemies

I saw similar sentiment from the spiderman 2 fans when that came out. How can this not be game of the year? Look how far sandman throws Miles! Like. It's impressive spectacle for sure but I want some game in my game. Some meat to chew on, something more than cool 15 second clips of visual splendor

[OC] Gorgonia, the Witch ~ 🌺😈💛 She's a scandalous punk, an over the top delinquent and a burgeoning demonologist! Wanting to save her homeland from a persistent demon incursion, she has taken to dominating demons! Her lich (great-great-...)grandmother decided to invest on this reckless dream ~

A short, stocky, tanned skinned woman with really long turquoise and purple hair, styled with a middle part and partially tied in a really big hair bun with a hair ornament seemingly fashioned after a rafflesia flower.
She's wearing a Gyaru style, scandalous school uniform like outfit. She's also wearing a leopard fur bra and stocking. She has purple eyes and thick purple lips.
She's flanked by her carnivorous plant-like demon pets! With long lashing thorny tails and huge tongues. The bigger one has a dog collar and leash on.

For people who really want to strategize the battles, they view having to spend dozens of hours each attempt grinding as a waste of time & also not very skill expressive So they'd rather get the rare candies so they can just run straight to the battles. They also tend to skip all the optional fights

The usual suggested answer for a first nuzlock is that you should play the pokemon you are most familiar with/like the best. The GBA remakes (fire red/leaf green & heart gold/soul silver) would probably be good for you. But if you want something new and never played gen 5, then play black 2 😁
