If anyone's looking for a ticket for Gilla Band/Girl Band at Workmans on the 25th give us a shout, I'm selling my ticket at face value. Gutted to be missing it but it'll be a cracker! #ticketfairy

Just curious why haven’t they kicked this guy out from contributing then? If he’s causing hassle and pushing AI slop?

I’m not an AI simp or anything but blaming a tool on a bad commit is silly. This is just bad engineering. Guy should’ve reviewed the code, made sure it complied and tested it, let alone before pushing directly to main 😂

@conan-kudo.bsky.social Hey there! Was just wondering if you might be the best person to reach out to regarding OSS Lugaru? Just interested in creating a PR for it but would like to clear with a maintainer first. Thanks!

Mr. Marcan, why would you just choose to end development of the Wii Homebrew Channel when you knew libogc was using stolen code? Why now? Why not 16 years ago?

I know Viktor Antonov was known for many things, but for me the biggest impact of his work was seeing the very distinct Eastern European environments of Half-Life 2 for the first time. At the time you just didn't see these kinds of things depicted realistically in games.

According to Half-Life writer Marc Laidlaw and Arkane co-founder Raphael Colantonio, the immensely talented Bulgarian art director Viktor Antonov died recently. 😭 He was only 52. He worked with Valve and Arkane on HL 2 and Dishonored, but also on the animated movies Renaissance & The Prodigies.

Fun fact: if you run XP in VirtualBox, the in-OS mute option doesn't work. ALSO, Bonzi Buddy will randomly say things if your computer is idle for too long. So I'm sitting here and suddenly I hear a terrible synthesized voice read me some jokes

Bonzi Buddy (a purple 3d rendered ape) on the Windows XP Bliss background, and he has a textbox saying "Do I amuse you, Foone? Am I funny? Do I make you laugh?"

every UK video game in the 80s and 90s was made by a guy named like "lord wensleydale" or two guys named "the chippy twins" and was about an egg with no special abilities going on an adventure and dying immediately. it was ported to the super nintendo where everyone hated it

Watching the inauguration. I think I'm preaching to the choir here, but it's very surreal to see this happen again. Fearing for my American friends with the damage that can be done with the Senate and House both under Republican control.

Can't see it given they've hardened Win11 against installs without TPM recently, I don't think they'll be able to afford the negative PR given that anecdotally Windows in general is seen pretty negatively these days. I expect at least one delay for the average joe -- I've no sympathy for enterprise!
