I wonder if game consoles are losing their purpose. What made them stand out from PCs and phones (from my PoV): - Cheaper than comparable PCs - "Just pick up and play" ability - The former, but in terms of game downloads and updates not being a thing/being really rare - Hardware experimentation

Memory architectures are usually in the form of: Registers -> 1-3 levels of cache -> RAM But what if you kept going? E.g. 8 GB of DDR5 + 16 GB DDR4 + 64 GB DDR3? And this extra RAM would be used as kinda extra swap space except it'd be implemented in hardware and way faster?

Is it just me, or is the y2K38 panic completely overblown? * For regularly updated Linux and macOS systems, most of them have already upgraded to 64-bit time_t. * No Windows (NT-based) version will truly suffer from Y2K38. * Most modern file systems (ntfs, ext4, btrfs) support 64-bit time

It's really funny that the Undertale and Deltarune websites actually DON'T use the same font as the actual game. It looks similar but not the same. For example, the website's font has a two-story "g".

Another one of my iPod touch 2nd gens has died. The death toll is now 3. Worst part? This one is an MC model, just like the other two. It makes me wonder whether the MC model has problems the MB model doesn't. Shittier NANDs? More usage? I couldn't tell you.

So Deltarune Chapter 5 has had one singular typo fixed (out of the three that I found on my first playthrough)... but the others don't appear to be fixed. (See alt text) (Spoilers)

Idea: Game console manufacturers (PS5/Xbox Series) should add a PC mode to their consoles. (Similar to PS3's Other OS or PS2 Linux) This would allow them to somewhat avoid backlash caused by the recent price increases due to RAM and storage prices, while increasing the value proposition.

finally figured out that the only reason loadibec wasn't working on my iPod touch 2G was because it had the iBoot from iOS 4.2.1. It needs iBoot 636.66.33 (iOS 3.1.3) to boot correctly.
