GP has changed in recent yrs through a scheme incentivising practices to take on physios, physician associates, advanced practitioners + other roles. @rebeccabest.bsky.social & colleagues looked at experience of staff joining & supervision/support being offered to them. It's hugely variable.

The coolest thing I’ve seen today is that a bunch of volunteer public health professionals and developers have restored the CDC website from before January 20th 2025. This differs from an archive in that they want to rebuild the links between pages and replicate the full website.

Reducing the elective waiting list is a good thing. But Julian Kelly just told NHSE's board that after inflation, NHS spending growth will be ~2% next year. Hitting the 18 week target, AND moving care into communities (meaningfully) AND improving prevention (AND halving gaps in HLE) is a big ask

Further evidence of England's improvement in maths today with the release of the TIMSS 2023 test which allows for comparisons across countries. Particularly good news at year 9 (13 year olds) where we've seen a decent jump despite the pandemic (unlike other countries).
