There is someone on my timeline attempting to tell a lawyer that LLMs are good for providing legal advice in criminal matters. That same person is blissfully unaware that AI prompts are not privileged and are readily available on discovery/by subpoena/by warrant.

Currently reading the judgment (which looks at the circumstances of each case individually) and honestly I can’t see how anyone could question why some of these prosecutions wind up with multiple adjournments that are not at all the fault of the defence solicitor

The current Dáil has passed comparatively less legislation than any since the 1922 Dáil. Many of the laws they did pass were “guillotined”- ie, parliamentary debate was just stopped and the Govt members voted them through. The engine of Government has been left just ticking over, as policy.
