What's maddening is the almost complete lack of urgency about (or even discussion of) reducing fossil fuel use since the war started. Government have sat around, leaving most likely outcome a *reduction* in money available to decarbonise.

Was refused entry to the Ladies FAI cup final for ‘trying to make a political statement’ by wearing this jersey. Had to get the wonderful Shelbourne club SLO John Brennan to sort it out. Incase anyone was worried if the FAI couldn’t embarrass themselves any further.

Ripping the scab off the deep wound that is Drumcree, is painful and utterly unnecessary. However, we should console ourselves that Bryson seems to be out in front, he is the greatest loyalist own goal, whether brexit or close friend paedo Donaldson etc. Everything he does is a gift. #speirgorm

Brendan O’Connor asks smugly “would any of those players have seen Netanyahu’s speech at the UN?” These are not boys or idiots. They are full grown men with agency. The narrative that footballers can’t be expected to understand politics or the world is patronising nonsense. #StoptheGame #SpeirGorm

"my decision is based purely on my personal belief that killing of innocent people is wrong" I mean, if you're a teammate reading that, you should feel embarrassed. Tis that simple. No "complicated matter", no "difficult situation", no getting into all the issues, just one simple point.

The youngest person his pager attack killed was 9-year-old Fatima Abdullah, who had just started 4th grade. The pager was on a table when it went off and she picked it up to take to her dad. It exploded in her face and reports said it covered the room in her blood. She wanted to learn English.

I think the relevant caselaw here is shaping up to be Rylands & Fletcher. If you collect up any inherently risky material or item on your property and it then escapes and causes damage, it creates strict liability. ie, you do not have to prove liability, you go straight to quantum of compensation.

New website provides details of greenways across Ireland
A new website promoting Ireland's greenways -- mostly rural shared walking and cycling routes -- has been launched by the Department of Transport. Greenways.gov.ie includes route information and maps for most of Ireland's longer greenways. The website includes details such as the distance, elevation, estimated travel times, the surface finish of the greenways, and the facilities available along different parts of routes, including public transport access, park and ride and toilets.
