Pour one out for my beloved MacBook Pro. It survived for 5 years after having water poured on the keyboard thanks to the intervention of a friend. It’s over 11 years old and the battery stopped charging today & I’m doing one last back-up. I’ll miss its ports & functionality. RIP.

BC’s domestic undergrad tuition fees ⬆️ 2.9% last year (provincial inflation ⬆️ 3%). Provincial policy has frozen tuition at 2%. Some programs are excluded — accounting for the 2.9%⬆️. All Canadians deserve access to education — tell the government to invest in public colleges and universities.

Technology enthusiasts severely overestimate the average person’s desire or willingness or capacity to build and use AI agents. I understand some work roles that could mandate or encourage it but that is no way a tech revolution. Agents are best for structured, clearly delineated tasks.

Google finally updated some of its satellite images of Gaza and my god, it's horrific. The entirety of Rafah has been demolished. The majority of Khan Younis is in ruins. Entire towns completely leveled and erased of the map.

We moved to BC in 2021. After a lifetime in AB, incl. roots that ran 150 years deep, we didn't want to be where it didn't feel like we had a future anymore.
