This is just a terrible take. Large chunks of the US government have been destroyed and rebuilding is the first order priority to ensure people get the services they need. The second to make sure it never happens again. Efficiency? Nope. We need a Marshall Plan for the US.

1. Let's not say goodbye to Eric Schmitt just yet. His story is about more than a power-mad senator falling on his face. It's part of a larger story about the Republicans defending the leader of an insurrection against the United States.

Mulholland Drive, now widely considered one of the very best films of the 2000-aughts, was just not an Oscar-bait kind of film at the time. Though it snagged a directing nomination for David Lynch, Naomi Watts's virtuoso performance was ignored; I think she'd have won if she'd been on the ballot.

For me, 3/5 stars for a film signifies "not essential viewing, but you won't feel like you wasted your time watching it." IMHO, one film that fits his description well is My Big Fat Greek Wedding.
Poster for My Big Fat Greek Wedding, with principal actors Nia Vardalos and John Corbett dressed in wedding clothes. Corbett's clothing is askew or loose, and he's leaning toward Vardalos with a smile that seems to say, "Let's get down to business"; Vardalos has her back against the wall Corbett is leaning on, her arms spread out as though holding something back on the other side - indeed, seven well-meaning but interfering members of her character's extended family are symbolically pictured on the wall - and she glances toward the viewer with a rueful smile. Tagline: "Love is here to stay...so is her family."

One reason I'm fond of "The Humpty ance" is because it's part of a great lyrical tradition that can be traced back over generations, as with Noble Sissle and Eubie Blake's 1921 song "Baltimore Buzz":
[Refrain:]
First you take your babe and gently hold her
Then you lay your head upon her shoulder
Next you walk just like your legs are breaking
Do a fango like a tango
Then you star the shimmie to shaking

The first instance I can recall of USAians singing in public is over a century old, and sorrowfully cathartic rather than celebratory. The composer Charles Ives witnessed (and maybe participated in) it and based an orchestral piece on the experience.
The final movement [from Charles Ives' Orchestral Set No. 2] "From Hanover Square North, At the End of a Tragic Day, The Voice of the People Again Arose", recalls Ives's experience of May 7, 1915, the day that the news broke of the sinking of the RMS Lusitania, preceding the United States' entry into the First World War. Ives's focus, however, as Clayton Henderson notes, is not about the sinking per se, but rather "the reaction of a group of commuters". According to his own memoirs, the crowd waiting on the platform of New York's Hanover Square station spontaneously broke into the gospel hymn "In the Sweet By and By" – a tune that was being played on a barrel organ on the street below. He stated:

Some workmen sitting on the side of the tracks began to whistle the tune, and others began to sing or hum the refrain. A workman with a shovel over his shoulder came on to the platform and joined in the chorus, and the next man, a Wall Street banker with white spats and a cane, joined in it, finally it seemed to me that everybody was singing this tune, and they didn't seem to be singing it in fun, but as a natural outlet for what their feelings had been going through all day long.
