I’m only on Episode 2 of “The Final Problem” on Netflix, but I’m enjoying it very much. There are wonderful touches by the director and it has a strong cast. Plus, the author’s treatment of the main character is excellent. Also, I’m opting to watch it via subtitles rather than choosing dubbing.

A Halloween decoration consisting of a "crashed witch."

A small witch has apparently crashed into a large tree and is stuck part-way up... She's wearing a black dress and boots, orange/black stockings, purple scarf and black red-brimmed hat. The tree has mostly light'ish colored bark. The foreground is heavy tree roots and light green moss with fall leaves in red, golden-brown and pink hues. And the background is a sun-dappled light-colored wooden fence and evergreen trees.

(This was the the first Halloween decoration to go up in the neighborhood by at least a week, and it's hilarious and cool.)

As I understand it, she feels every customer should be treated with respect. Kind of reminds me of an Absolutely Fabulous episode where Edina goes to a gallery to buy high-end art and is met with a snobby receptionist. On the way out Edina tells her, "You can drop the attitude. It's just a shop."

Saw this at the garden centre when I stopped to get somepumpkins to turn into pies. I knew @thehemicane.bsky.social and @immcarvalho.bsky.social would apprciate the decorateive gourds

A bathtub full of decorative gourds of all the expected sizes, colours and shapes with some serious stem action going on. Luxuriating in the plethora of gourdage is a skelleton with a shower cap. Apparently a gourd tub is great for the old bones, or maybe really really bad for the skin, either way, our skelly friend is wearing a look of bliss. I feel the shower cap is more an atractive accessory than serving a purpose as skelly is bald.

😂 In defense, mine are reasonably well-behaved allowing the cardinals, catbirds, one red-winged blackbird, and some others they recognize as regulars access to food and act as lookouts for them Around here, the mockingbird is the group’s major pain-in-the-ass.

Also it's not themselves, it's their companies that may create jobs. They often threaten to "take their companies with them but that usually turns out to be an empty threat. And if they do, cue the next state to tax them. How many times will they relocate then?
