NEWS: SCOTUS won't stop Tennessee from killing Christa Pike on Wednesday. There were no noted dissents. If Tennessee proceeds, Pike would be the first woman put to death in the state in more than 200 years. It would be the state's second execution this year.

In 2018, Annalinda Martinez and her daughters became homeless. She went to Georgia's child welfare agency looking for help finding housing. Instead, the state took her children. Then DFCS began charging her for their foster care. Those bills eventually left her $13,000 in debt.
