I just heard two people on the subway talking. Her: "Oh my God, you're 28? You're... err... sorry" Him: "Yes, I'm a dinosaur." Her: ".... you're almost 30!"

I still say the NHL should make coaches put up a flag or push a button or something within 30 seconds of an offside they want to challenge. Then they can challenge it next stoppage. If they don't notice during the play, too bad

This was a very nice message for him to send. He was up front about only having met Pac a few times and never tried to exaggerate their relationship. He simply paid tribute to someone who was loved in the business. Anyone in WWE turning their nose up at this is a ghoul.

Printed off directions if I was going somewhere I didn't know. But I used to know the city better, especially Scarborough where I grew up. I don't know my current neighbourhood nearly as well, despite living here for 7 years. GPS is great, but it really took away learning how to get around

Conservatives still refuse to admit that the Americans are the problem, that there is no deal to be had, and that the Americans are not intersted in the benefits of trade—only in our capitulation.
Carney’s Top Priority Should be Resolving the U.S. Trade Dispute

October 2, 2026
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Ottawa, ON – Stephanie Kusie, Conservative Shadow Minister for International Trade, and Shuvaloy Majumdar, Conservative Shadow Minister for Canada-US relations, issued the following statement on Minister Sidhu’s meeting with Jamieson Greer, U.S. Trade Representative at the G20 Trade Ministers’ meeting:

“Just days after U.S. import bans on select Canadian items like alcohol, dairy, motorcycles and molasses took effect, Canada’s Minister of International Trade, Maninder Sidhu, met with U.S. Trade Representative Jamieson Greer yesterday at the G20 Trade Ministers’ meeting.

“The Minister should have taken this opportunity to fiercely advocate for Canada and our workers, businesses and producers threatened by President Trump’s latest unjustified trade attack.

“Instead, the Minister spoke to Representative Greer about 'multilateral initiatives' such as WTO reforms and rules-based trade. While these are important issues, the Minister failed to do what should be of utmost importance to the Carney government: making progress toward a deal for the 2.6 million Canadian workers whose livelihoods rely on U.S. trade.

“For months, the Prime Minister and his negotiating team offered concessions in trade talks and negotiated from a position of weakness rather than strength. These unilateral concessions secured nothing for Canadian families while further emboldening the U.S.

“In fact, after meeting with Minister Sidhu, Representative Greer described outstanding disputes with Canada as 'quite difficult to resolve.' This further highlights the importance of Canada being at the negotiating table and using every opportunity to advocate for Canadian jobs and our trade relationship.

“Conservatives will never stop fighting for Canadian workers and businesses. As our Leader, the Honourable Pierre Poilievre, has shown through his trips to the United States, we will continue remindin…

Wow, these new Eminem lyrics are shocking!!!
USMCA. That'll be the name, I guess, that, 99 percent of the time, we'll be hearing: USMCA. It has a good ring to it.

I have long contended that NAFTA was perhaps the worst trade deal ever made. Since NAFTA's adoption, the United States racked up trade deficits totaling more than $2 trillion - and it's a much higher number than that - with Canada and Mexico. It lost vast amounts of money, and lost 4.1 million manufacturing jobs, and 1 in 4 auto jobs. Lost about 25 percent of our auto jobs

- even more than that.

Throughout the campaign, I promised to

renegotiate NAFTA, and today we have kept that promise. But, for 25 years, as a civilian, as a businessman, I used to say, "How could anybody have signed a deal like NAFTA?" And I watched New England, and so many other places where I was just - the factories were leaving, the jobs were leaving, people were being fired, and we

can't have that.

NEW: According to a bombshell report in the New York Times, Anthropic co-founder Chris Olah threatened to walk out of Pope Leo XIV's Al encyclical launch in May because the pope rejected the idea that machines can be conscious.
Olah's team then privately lobbied the pope's advisers "to take the possibility of model consciousness seriously." Pope Leo XIV held firm.
For months, Anthropic has wined and dined theologians and religious scholars under nondisclosure agreements, hoping they would bless the idea that Claude has moral standing.

Put another way, Ford wants to spend more on removing bike lanes in Toronto ($48M) than he's spent protecting all of Ontario's businesses from an international trade war. Ontario deserves serious leadership, that follows through on promises, and actually puts people before profits.

The perfect way to put it. They found a way to worm a subscription between you and your normal work.
A screenshot of a post on Threads by Joe Hill. The post reads: "Here’s a thought about the purveyors of AI. They aren’t selling assistance—they’re selling dependency. You give up on acquiring one skill after another, give up on the knotty, meaningful struggle to acquire those skills and AI takes over. It isn’t freeing up time so you can make more of yourself. It’s encouraging cognitive surrender so you can be less."
