Am probably late to this conversation but question: does changing the #vaccine schedule eventually translate into lack of coverage by #insurance for those? Seems like the current answer is "No" but this feels like something to watch closely over time.

This is the internal paperwork from the NIH detailing the process of screening grants for "DEI words" that would violate the Executive Order Hard to read but see the alt text
In accordance with the Secretarial Directive on DEI Related Funding, NIH will no longer prioritize research and reserach training programs that focus on ... DEI. Terminations that result from science that no longer effectuates NIH's priorities must follow the appeals guidance below. All other terminations for noncompliance require, always, appeal language.

Prior to issuing all awards (competing and noncompeting) or approving requests for carryover, ICs must review the specific aims [sic] assess whether the proposed project contains any DEI research activities or DEI language that give the perception that NIH funds can be used to support these activities. To avoid issuing awards, in error, that support DEI activities ICs must take care to completely excise all DEI activities using the following categories.

Category 1: The sole purpose of the project is DEI related (e.g., diversity supplements or conference grant where the purpose of the meeting is diversity), and/or the application was received in response to a NOFO that was unpublished as outlined above.
Action: ICs must not issue the award.

Category 2: Project partially supports DEI activities (i.e., the project may still be viable if those aims or activities are negotiated out, without significant changes from the original peer-reviewed scope) ...
Action: Funding IC must negotiate with the applicant/recipient to address the activities that are non-compliant, along with the associated funds that support those activities, obtain revised aims and budges, and documen thte changes in the grant file

Category 3: Project does not support DEI activities, but may contain language related to DEI (e.g., statement regarding institutional commitment to diversity in the 'Facilities & Other Resources' attachment and terminology related to structural racis - this is not all-inclusive).
Action: Funding IC must request an updated application/RPRR with the DEI language removed

It is perfectly legal to know your rights and to educate others about them, too. EVERYONE in the United States, citizen or not, has rights. I will not allow this administration to intimidate us from helping you know about them. Here’s our shareable guide ⬇️: (pt. 1/2)
KNOW YOUR
RIGHTS
IN CASE OF ICE:
CONOCE TUS DERECHOS
EN CASO DE ENCUENTRO CON ICE:DO NOT OPEN YOUR DOOR.
ICE cannot enter your home without a warrant signed by a judge.
Tell the agents to show you the warrant by sliding it under the door.
NO ABRAS TU PUERTA.
ICE no puede entrar a tu casa sin una orden firmada por un juez. Diles a los agentes que te muestren la orden deslizándola debajo de la puerta.ASK THEM
TO LEAVE.
If ICE doesn't have a warrant, tell them you do not consent for them to enter your home and ask them to leave. At work, ICE cannot enter employee-only areas without permission.
2
You have the right to remain silent.
If the agents ask you questions, tell them,
"I wish to remain silent."
PERMANECE EN SILENCIO.
Tienes derecho a permanecer en silencio.
Si los agentes te hacen preguntas, diles:
"Deseo permanecer en silencio".
