With the local elections looming, and it looking like there will still be people casting their vote for Nigel and Co, I thought it a good opportunity to remind everyone: Reform UK is an overtly racist party, and no amount of "vetting issues" can excuse the behaviour of their candidates and MPs.

Scotland had a lot going for it when it comes to locating new data centres there compared to elsewhere in the UK: - Cold climate so less energy needed for cooling (exploit ambient cold) - Waste heat resale (district heating etc.) - Close to offshore wind (less grid stress, lower transport loss)

Coming up on 30 years since the Dunblane school shooting massacre (13th March 1996) and watching another documentary about it. The families wanted to end legal handgun ownership and we passed those laws. We’ve not had a school shooting since. I ache for all Americans who cannot get this done there.

Sizewell C is predicted to cost £38 billion. For the same amount of money, you could install solar panels, heat pumps and batteries in 3 million homes. That would generate energy locally, rather than put massive strains on an already overloaded grid. Makes you think.
