It only feels “radically progressive” because we’ve spent 40 years normalising radically regressive ideas. This was broadly how Britain worked from 1945–79, when average GDP growth was 2.6% a year — compared with 1.9% in the post-Thatcher years. It works www.theguardian.com/politics/202...

We've heard promises before. I've signed to make sure this one is kept. It takes 30 seconds

🚨 THIS IS HOW IT’S DONE ✊ Furious workers drove state thugs out of the streets of Madrid today during an attempted eviction at Calle Navas de Tolosa No. 5, as people in the city continue to protest against parasitic landlordism and the capitalist crisis of secure, affordable housing.

The people's occupation of Puerta del Sol in Madrid continues to grow in size and ferocity. They know the real invaders are not working class immigrants or people of color, but vulture funds, landlord parasites and transnational capitalists who drive workers from homes and suppress wages.

Ed Sheeran had an opportunity show that we won't be bullied into punishing people for supporting Palestine. Instead he caved to people who refuse to accept what the world knows. A genocide is happening in Gaza. We all need to speak out against it.

msrachelforlittles If more than 20,000 white children were killed in another part of the world, everyone would be shouting about it at their concerts. Treating some children's lives as less worthy of outrage is racist. Silence during a genocide is not neutral.

🌳🌳🌳 Trees don't only provide shade and better air quality in cities. They also provide hundreds of thousands of channels for rainwater to reach the soil and water beds. When you chop them down and concrete over their roots, those channels are gone – meaning the soil dries out and drains get flooded.
