There is absolutely no way for an officially contracted writer for a licensed property who is writing to the specifics of who ever owns the IP, to then meet every individual readers story preferences and we really have to get away from that being treated as reasonable expectation.

I had a trio of banana peppers I kept going for about four years when I lived in central Florida. It took a hurricane to kill them. I miss the citrus trees something fierce. There’s no smell like a blossoming lemon. I think you can grow citrus in a pot indoors, but it’s not something I’ve tried.

Minor point here, but I recommend caution with any zine - literary or genre - that is requesting an exclusivity window for more than a year. Mostly because this usually suggests inexperience/lack of research on their part, which often doesn't bode well.

It's Banned Books Week. My fellow librarians, listen carefully: your book displays should be almost exclusively writers who are alive. Yes, I know classic literature is also being banned, but most of those authors are dead. They aren't suffering financially from bans and challenges.

Just attempting to get diagnosed as an adult is often traumatic all on its own. The last time I tried, the psychiatric nurse refused to test me and gave me a pile of unnecessary prescriptions for depression that landed me in urgent care with seratonin syndrome.
