I posted more pics on Insta and Threads, but we had a great time at our Wisconsin Writers Retreat in Waupaca. Next year's dates are Sept 23-26, 2027. We did write, I promise, but we also hung out, hiked, kayaked, napped, and ate cheese.

I've been struggling lately. I took some time off from therapy but had an emergency session last week. I haven't had time to write and what I write just reads like crap. Work has been overwhelming, caregiving has been hard, everything is exhausting. Therapy helped.

Today was the first day in about a month I was able to get some new words in. Not a lot, but a start. July was a great writing month for me, but early August some things in life started to pile up. I've had some rough spots with my mental health lately. I'm getting through it now.

Today is National Suicide Prevention Day. I've lost two friends in recent years. After losing my friend David in 2023, I started going to therapy. The last week has been really hard for my mental health. A lot of stress has been piling up and I've hit a wall. I made an appointment with my therapist.
