LRT Yes, I know it hurts some of you to think but please try it before you accuse any artist of using AI. I went to art school so consequently I know a lot of professional artists personally, and they all can't post any art now without a bunch of know-nothings smugly replying "Nice AI" to them.

they also made a limited edition version out of their attack drone metal and featuring anduril branding, making the connection as explicit as possible.
ModRetro's limited edition Game Boy clone made out of the same dark metal used to produce attack drones through Palmer Luckey's other company, Anduril.

Please stop hedging about programming every time you critique AI. I am sick of hearing non-programmers say things like, "I know that programmers are all using this now, but..." No, stop. We are not all using it. You make the non-users feel like the world has gone mad every time you say this.

Quite good documentary about the archaeology of the Stonehenge, Avebury, and Associated Sites UNESCO World Heritage site in Wiltshire. It talks about a lot of the discoveries that have been made from decades past up to four years ago when the documentary was made. Well worth the watch.

While I can see the potential for abuse, I do wish that RSS had support for feed-specific style sheets. While I still prefer catching up on sites via RSS—and a pox on those that don't put full articles in the feed—I've never liked how you don't get to experience the design of the site that way.

False humans of the Under Strange fates. Terrible repercussions. Unforeseen misery. Not everything that looks human is such in nature. #pixelart #украрт
Three humanoid figures, each with a close-up portrait.

Left to right:

A thin and pale cloaked person, tightly clutching a book. Its expression is that of calm surprise, accentuated by its huge, lidless black eyes and tiny creases below and above them. It is warmly lit, as if by a small fire in a wide dark area, and it's skin seems almost... fuzzy?

A hooded figure in rough, ragged but practical clothes, gas mask hanging from its neck, leaning as if carefully approaching. Holding an axe in a way that is both threatening and not outright hostile. Its face is... What color are those eyes? What shape is that nose? Try as you might, it just slips past your vision without ever moving.

A person in ragged clothes and a gas mask, with a crude blunt and spiked weapon. Its footing is uneven, its clothes are torn in places, and it seems to be stained... with blood? Something just barely noticeable shuffles under its hood. A tangle of worms, loosely wearing featureless straps of skin and fabric

The perfect way to put it. They found a way to worm a subscription between you and your normal work.
A screenshot of a post on Threads by Joe Hill. The post reads: "Here’s a thought about the purveyors of AI. They aren’t selling assistance—they’re selling dependency. You give up on acquiring one skill after another, give up on the knotty, meaningful struggle to acquire those skills and AI takes over. It isn’t freeing up time so you can make more of yourself. It’s encouraging cognitive surrender so you can be less."

Great moments in Scottish engineering history: James Watt tries to work out how his phone attaches to his selfie stick.
Statue of James Watt. In his right hand he holds a telescopic stick with a frame at the top; in his left he holds a flat object about the size of a large smartphone. He is scowling at the possibly-not-a-smartphone as if he is tempted to yeet it into the sea. On that basis, it probably _is_ a phone.

This was an interesting one because it was originally meant to be a prequel to Shadowrun, and also you could get three free booklets that would give you enough of the rules to roll a character. I think I still have my free booklets somewhere…
