This is good but still presents an implementation challenge because Throw polling at 60% is misleading when Take polls at 5%.

If you missed today's @rinpharma.bsky.social workshop, here are a few of my favourite "quick fixes" for some common #ggplot2 issues 📊 1. Use {ggview} to preview plots at the same size and resolution as you want to save them with ggsave() to avoid the annoying resizing #RStats #DataViz

ggplot(mtcars, aes(wt, mpg)) +

Retired software breaker here, this isn't how anything works. We had so many inflection points where all software was broken. In fact, over my career, the "apocalypses" (which were kind of fun and hilarious) just got morphed into capability for the military industrial complex and Those Governments.

i worry that men think being A Good Guy is dramatically and heroically intervening on behalf of an endangered woman and then being publicly rewarded on a grand scale when actually being A Good Guy is just usually saying, “hey man that’s not funny” or “wow that’s fucked up” and there is no reward

Hares arranged around and inside an inverted pentagram, enclosed by a circular ring of text.
The text reads the traditional folklore saying: "she returns to be she which a hare is :: a witch hare might be :: when to her form she :: a witch hare might be ::" referencing old British and European folklore about witches transforming into hares

This model and the computation are a qualitative advance in using diverse data to estimate human growth patterns. Unlike most models, this one is biologically parameterized, not just curve fitting. Is cool.
Figure 2. Simulated cross-sectional height data for 100 individuals (black points), where the thick black line is the true population-mean growth trajectory and gray lines are true individual trajectories. Horizontal lines connect each point to the potentially-inaccurate “observed” age for that individual (blue circles), which incorporates uncertainty in the age recorded for each child during height measurement. Note that uncertainty tends to increase with age.

"This election is about the threat of trans kids" is the worst possible messaging for Dems yet so many candidates are leaning into it. No voter will flip R->D over it. Low-info voters read this as "you're focused on bullshit that doesn't affect me" while the base reads this as "you're an asshole."
