I knew gas cooking released pollutants that increase risks of cardiovascular diseases and cancers, but this was new to me: In a new study, 68% of gas-fired commercial kitchens exposed cooks to unsafe temperatures >90 °F, and 53% to temps >100 °F. All electric kitchens studied stayed at safe temps.

I just watched Big Little Reno on YouTube. It's a pilot home renovation show focused on improving homes on a small budget, and is hosted by Canberra energy efficiency doyen Jenny Edwards. Definitely worth the time. I like to think I know a bit about energy, but even I learned stuff.
