When autistic characters are depicted as both unfeeling and aroace. Nothing wrong with an autistic character being aro and/or ace, but when it's the default and it's associated with lack of empathy, it's damaging to both autistic and aroace communities, because neither lack empathy. #SpoonieAuthChat

Yes, I write many neurodivergent characters, some intentionally and some accidentally. Oftentimes I don't particularly intend for a character to be neurodivergent or neurotypical, but I come to realise that they're clearly neurodivergent the more I flesh them out. 1/2 #SpoonieAuthChat

Absolutely recommend! I got an ARC and loved it. The characters' journeys to find themselves and each other were so beautiful and emotional! I really enjoyed the creepy cryptids and how the supernatural elements worked. Now that I've read it, I have a new appreciation of the chickens on the cover =)
