The Right Diagnosis: Helping Authors Find the Edit They Need
Authors are often confused about the types of editing and don't know what their manuscripts need. They Google "book editor," pick a service, and hope for the best. Then they're frustrated when the edit doesn't fix their real problem. This session gives editors a framework for diagnosing manuscripts and guiding authors to the right service before work begins. Attendees will leave with a diagnostic framework, sample questions, and language to help authors understand what they're paying for—and why it matters.
