When I joined the Bassetlaw Greens two years ago, I could never have imagined all the wonderful people I'd meet. It's really exciting that we're able to make a real difference in our community together <3

Accompanying text reads: "I've been out and about delivering surveys and speaking to residents across Bassetlaw" and "It's not always easy and my step count has been thriving but it's definitely been worth it <3".

Two polaroid-style photos are included: A group selfie of Green Party volunteers delivering surveys, and a photo of two cats inspecting a stack of Green Party leaflets with the accompanying text "fun fact: Green Party surveys are feline-friendly".Slide titled: "showed up for trans rights".

Accompanying text reads: "I've also been spending a lot of time campaigning for trans equality" and "I won't lie, things are pretty grim right now and so that makes every act of solidarity even more important".

Three polaroid-style photos are included: a photo of people at a trans rights rally, another of volunteers making protest signs, and a final group shot of activists holding handmade placards supporting trans equality.Slide titled: "so many market stalls!".

Accompanying text reads: "We've been running regular market stalls in Worksop and Retford for a while now (I have pet so many dogs)" and "It's been really great to speak with residents about the issues that matter to them most".

This is a historic moment: the first time the rights of Nature have entered the UK parliamentary process. The Bill recognises Nature as a legal subject, reorders the hierarchy of rights, creates a duty of care towards Nature and embeds Nature’s rights into UK decision-making across all sectors.

DONATE TO NEW AID APPEAL
Since the full scale invasion of Ukraine, Russia has bombed 3,798 educational institutions, with 365 completely destroyed. In April 2025, a missile struck a children’s playground in Kryvyi Rih, killing nine children. In frontline cities such as Pavlohrad and Kryvyi Rih, children walk through the school gates and go straight underground. Lessons take place in basements because of constant missile and drone attacks.

It may seem like nerdy detail that the increasing weight of cars is worsening potholes, but it matters. The car makers push to sell wider and heavier cars is increasing road maintenance costs and that affects us all. Not to mention worse crash outcomes and less space to pass (wider) parked cars.

Most Brits are against animal cruelty. It's one of our best national characteristics. Defending the animal welfare standards that our farmers have could have been one of the few benefits of Brexit. Instead we are importing from animals so badly treated it would be a crime here.
