When I ran for VA HouseofDels in 2023, I heard all the time "I'm a Republican who votes Democratic." Same thing is happening x10 in CD-1 w/Shannon Taylor & CD-5 w/Tom Perriello. Responsible, good governance Republicans in Hanover & surrounding counties have had it w/the cruelty, chaos & corruption.

In broad terms, reform ideas in the US break down into anti-party (or party weakening) and pro-party (i.e. multi-party). Anti-party reforms have superficial appeal but frankly don't work. Pro-party reforms aim to produce more coherent and more legible choices on the ballot, which is what does work.
