Our friends at Laughing Grackle Zine Distro are seeking submissions of quarter-size zines to add to their new-to-them spinner rack. Quarter-size here is 4.25"x5.5", or ¼ U.S. Letter-sized paper
CALL FOR
MIDWEST ZINE MAKERS

SEEKING SUBMISSIONS FOR QUARTER ZINES (4.25"X5.5" IN SIZE)
Laughing Grackle Zine Distro has recently obtained a spinning magazine rack that is perfectly sized to hold quarter zines (4.25"x5.5"). A big part of what inspired us to start the Laughing Grackle project was the desire to support public print media in Milwaukee. We want to use this opportunity to open up slots to zine-makers in the Midwest, with priority given to authors from Milwaukee. We have up to 62 available slots for zines, so please feel free to submit multiple zines! This call will remain open until all available slots are filled. Please share this information with any zine-makers you know!
If you are interested in submitting your zine(s) or if you have questions, please contact us at laughinggrackle@proton.me

image is of a pair of scissors, an X-Acto knife, pen, book labeled IDEAS, and scraps of paper and photos like for a collage.

I made a new Public Collectors postcard! The text is extracted from something I posted here about 6 months ago. The design came to me in a dream (or night of bad sleep). Mail them to friends who need a creative nudge to self-publish. They are 4 for $3.00 from halfletterpress.com/leave-a-reco...
A stack of postcards with white text on a purple background that reads:

MAKE A ZINE IF YOU CAN'T
MAKE A BOOK.
MAKE A FLYER IF YOU CAN'T
MAKE A ZINE.
MAKE A POSTCARD IF YOU CAN'T MAKE A FLYER.

LEAVE A RECORD.

The back of the postcard says:

SELF-PUBLISH TO TELL FUTURE PEOPLE ABOUT THE PRESENT.

What do you mail to your friend who needs a reminder that their voice is worth publishing, no matter how small the format? This postcard! Hand them out to students too. The text is from a post Marc made on his Bluesky account (@marc-fischer.bsky.app) where he regularly writes little notes about self-publishing. Four of these cards come in a $3.00 set.
