Trump reported 1,051 trades in his June disclosure. These two stood out: — June 18: Bought $250K–$500K in Boeing, the same day the Navy awarded Boeing an $880 million contract — June 23: Bought $15K–$50K in SpaceX, the same day NASA recorded a $425.6 million award to SpaceX

ICE raids are not the first time this was made explicit. I think people downplay how much Jim Crow was not just about controlling Black people but it was also about controlling white people. If you thought racism was dumb and acted that way you could end up with a bomb in your home

Happy Birthday to me! 🎂🎁🥳
It's giving gay Y2K energy: Sarah's hair is light peachy pink with bangs and soft layers with a silver tiara, and she's dressed in silver satin and silver sequins with white Nikes, a pink hoodie, and black oversized blazer, while she holds a silver purse. Her friend Jackie is power posing behind her, hands on hips and feet apart, in a dark green satin dress. She has dark brown hair and red lipstick, she looks authoritative. It's hot.

Sarah has posted a screenshot from Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Her character is in a long navy Victorian dress with gothic headband and blonde ringlets, making a haunted face. The room is dark, lit with gothic candle holders and chandeliers. You can make out a fireplace with antlers mounted above and a gothic mirror on the mantle, elaborate throne, engraved coffin with books and a candelabra on it, spooky white pumpkin carriage, wood-burning stove, and fancy black gazebo. There is a deep stone well in the corner, ominously.

We shouldn’t accept that a CEO killer must get a national manhunt when cops don’t solve most murders at all. A migrant teenager was just murdered in NYC, cops just killed a guy here — the lives of these other people are worth just as much as that CEO.

wtf does being suspicious at a McDonalds even MEAN www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news...
Man being questioned by police was described as 'suspicious' by McDonald's customers
Jonathan Dienst and Tom Winter

The man police are questioning today in Pennsylvania was described as "suspicious" by customers at a McDonald's, who called police, three senior law enforcement officials said.

When police arrived, they noticed the man had a fake ID, and he was taken into a police station for questioning, two senior law enforcement officials said.

Once there, they discovered he had a gun similar to the one used in the killing of Brian Thompson, a silencer, and a fake New Jersey ID, the two sources said.

say, what's that on the chart right at the US's inflection point? Computer, enhance.
life expectancy vs. per-capita health expenditure from 1970 to 2018 for developed (mainly European) countries. 21 of the lines trend steeply upward to the top of the graph, while the US diverges sharply from the group, with expenditure rapidly increasing while life expectancy barely rises at all. A red arrow points from a picture of Ronald Reagan's face to approximately 1980 on the US line, right where it falls away from the other countries.

A lil tip for the folks with shoe polish on their lips today :)
Excerpt from Timothy Snyder's "On Tyranny:"

"1. Do not obey in advance."

"Most of the power of authoritarianism is freely given. In times like these, individuals think ahead about what a more repressive government will want, and then offer themselves without being asked. A citizen who adapts in this way is teaching power what it can do."

The Supreme Court agrees with me, unanimously, by the way.
An image of the Trump v Anderson decision with the relevant text: “The text of Section 3 reinforces these conclusions. Its final sentence empowers Congress to "remove" any Section 3 "disability" by a two-thirds vote of each house. The text imposes no limits on that power, and Congress may exercise it any time, as the respondents concede. […] In fact, historically, Congress sometimes exercised this amnesty power postelection to ensure that some of the people's chosen candidates could take office. 2”

And a footnote, highlighted: “2 Shortly after the Fourteenth Amendment was ratified, for instance, Congress enacted a private bill to remove the Section 3 disability of Nelson Tift of Georgia, who had recently been elected to represent the State in Congress.”An image from the Trump v Anderson decision which reads: “[Congress would be] forced to exercise its disability removal power before voting begins if it wished for its decision to have any effect on the current election cycle.”
