Kremlin’s propagandists cannot hide their glee when recounting how Trump yesterday betrayed Ukraine and his NATO allies. Helping him get elected back in 2016 is arguably the most impactful single operation by not just Russian intelligence but any intelligence service ever.

Something I didn't anticipate when we moved into a forest: raindrops hitting leaves and dripping down from leaf to leaf amplifies the sound of rainfall dramatically, even if the rain is quite light. It's magical, and with everything else quiet outside it's truly lovely to experience.

No doubt this has occurred to other bystanders as well, but it would seem that a handful of billionaires dropping $150 million into a single state's election in an attempt to defeat a wealth-tax initiative just about makes the entire case for a wealth-tax initiative.

The countless people who glossed over disinformation and normalized MAHA in any way should recognize this the result of their actions. We no longer have to wonder how the Tuskegee experiments were allowed to happen. We are seeing it for ourselves.

Not sure how many average people realize it but virtually all of ancient history, all that we know about it, is predicated on like just three lucky archaeology sites globally and about 1% of 1% of 0.0001% of recorded knowledge. So these are world shaking historical finds, taken in the long term.

there’s a lot of actually sensible curiosity about the minutiae of a US state-sponsored execution—who does lighting? are there ads? is there chat? who’s on crafts? is it multi cam? this is the actual banality of evil & if you are asked to facilitate this it is your task to instead stand in its way.
courtney love lies bleeding says:

who's gonna be the first company to sponsor that televised execution?
i am fascinated by the idea of ad breaks and what the cost will be.emily blight says:

this is the actual banality of evil shit. the person who provides the facilitator guide in an interactive pdf. is there a crafts table? someone will set that up.
you should not be one of these people.zoë “baddie proctor” quinn

there's gonna be a guy who does the sound check for the first livestreamed state execution. they'll probably have someone stand where the guy is gonna be shot to death by the state so that they can make sure the lighting, color, and framing is "correct" when people watch a man die.

some producer, probably within the next month, will decide if this man's death is a single camera setup or if they're going to do multi camera and if there will be
commentators. They probably have to design what will cover the faces of the shooters or look at headshots if there's no coverings at all

Unemployed college student Barron Trump made $150m in one year. When asked about it Trump said "It's none of your business". Republicans: Silent. When Hunter Biden sold $40k worth of paintings, Republicans shrieked, investigated, held hearings and said Joe Biden should be impeached over this.

Uhmmm Question I am a new(ish) human. How will I develop my preferences? How will an algorithm "know" my preferences, when I don't know them? Or have enough exposure to enough different experiences to even HAVE preferences?

How terrible is MPD weapons maintenance program if guns can randomly go "off" with no human interaction? Only safe course of action is to pull every MPD gun out of service until cause can be determined and guns made reliable Still, could be design flaw. Best to pull ALL US LEO weapons
