Garnet is absolutely right here. More than that, #SCOTUS has made it clear, over and over again, that it is not going to let states use its "original" jurisdiction to sue other states in contexts in which the underlying question *can* be litigated in the lower federal courts. This is one of those.

I'm not sure who saw this coming, but so far nearly all the jobs created during the second Trump administration have gone to women.

Later in the thread. Two problems: (1) many of these folks are *not* undocumented—they’re just removable; and (2) in any event, whether they received the process that is due before being deported to somewhere they might be tortured is, in fact, much of what’s *actually being litigated.*

My greatest frustrating has been with policy wonks who persist in thinking we can just keep doing normal policy analysis ("calling balls and strikes") in this situation. The President of the United States is both lawless and out of his mind. That preempts all normal discussion.
