I have the physical book but started it on audio on a 5 hour drive and IMO the narrator did a fantastic job. There were parts where I was grateful to be listening to the audio because it did a better job of conveying the mood and tone of certain characters than I would have imagined.

Same. my family wasn't dirt poor but we were a step beyond that and obviously had no connections. I was really shocked how much that 1) academia is not meritocratic the way it's advertised and 2) how many of my fellow travelers came from incredibly wealthy families

This is one of the best documentaries that I've seen in a very long time. It balances poetic storytelling with expository heft. Even if you know the historical arc, this film likely adds depth to your cultural analysis of who is a zombie and why we make zombies.
