Comment to defend or deny your abject terror to read "this". Also...what did you think "this" was? For quality purposes our staff is anonymous, protected under aggressive NDAs, and cannot speak in public for any reason.
Official HOMEGA graphic, Department of Unredacted Information and Clickbait, stamped CLICKBAIT in red so nobody can say they weren't told. Left: the cover of The Social Life of Small Enclosed Spaces, a woman in glasses staring out of a ship's porthole with an expression of "great, another problem." and a red WITHHELD stamp across the sky above her. Right: MOST PEOPLE ARE TOO AFRAID TO READ THIS. ARE YOU? in green, then three checkboxes nobody has ticked: too afraid to read it right now, in three months, forever. Below that, a paragraph accusing you of secretly reading it already. Bottom: a fake comment box asking "Too afraid, or reading it right now?" The book is by Jim Benson. It is on titanauts.com and Amazon. Audio book out in Q4 2026.

Conspiracy Abolition

Abstract
Criminal conspiracy seems as American as apple pie. Every state criminalizes conspiracy, and there are dozens of federal conspiracy statutes. The crime of conspiracy is
the darling of prosecutors across the political spectrum.
It has been wielded against poor Black teens and White TV moguls; anti-carceral and anti-abortion activists; rap stars and a President. Conspiracy's hold on U.S. criminal
systems is firm. This Article seeks to break that hold. The crime of conspiracy promotes surveillance of and violence against poor people of color. It is a menace to freedom of expression, the right of a criminal defendant to confront an adverse witness, and the rule of law. Its purported social benefits remain unsubstantiated; its social costs have been understated when they have not been outright ignored. And it can't be reformed. It should be
abolished.

An absolutely remarkable concurrence by Chief Justice Karofsky in the WI Supreme Court case that held the state's total abortion ban is not in effect. CJ Karofsky recounts the stories of women, including her great-grandmother, who died bc of abortion restrictions. www.wicourts.gov/sc/opinion/D...
These women should all still be alive. Their deaths were not
only preventable, they were foretold by the stories of other women from a
century ago. One of those stories involved my own great-grandmother,
Julia Cowan, who met the same fate in 1929. Living in Boston, Julia, a
White woman, became pregnant with what would have been her fourth
child. Desiring to end the pregnancy but having no access to the medical
care necessary for an abortion, she took matters into her own hands and
ultimately bled to death in a Boston hospital. Like so many others, she
died because society did not recognize her as someone with the “dignity
and authority to make these choices.”
