And I think that the Metro Trip Agents are very disappointing as a project. Conceptually I think its a good step, but in actuality they exist to harass the poor, unhoused, & mentally ill, and call the cops on people. Every interaction I've had with the agents has been unhelpful to infuriating.

The light rail is frustratingly slow compared to even mediocre systems whos' light rails have complete priority, and/or are separate from car traffic as much as possible. I could elaborate more another time. But yeah, design. (The MoA station is so bad it makes me nauseous thinking about it)

My big issues are design and infrastructure. Way too many transfer points that are inaccessible, far apart, or otherwise frustrating. The seating provided at many stops is also severely lacking, if there at all. And don't even get me started with the ticket kiosks. They are obtuse.

I think I understand what you mean, and I should clarify my stance more. Because you're right the network isn't the problem. I'm happy with the expansion and creation of new lines, and I feel like the network covers a very large area.

Definitely! The light rail is the weakest portion of it, and whenever I'm in Chicago I just sit and daydream of what could be. Its easy to pick elements from other systems that I wish we had, but after enough of that you start to only think "why couldn't we have gone a different path 30 years ago?"
