Next year, the EU will require cars to have buttons & dials -- not just touchscreens -- to get a top safety rating. This is a great move. Drivers can fiddle with knobs & buttons without taking their eyes off the road, but they can't do that with touchscreens. (Even better: Tesla will hate this)

Cars will need fewer screens and more buttons to earn five-star safety rating in Europe
Euro NCAP will release new testing guidelines in 2026.

In the USA, they're painting over the FBI values of integrity, fairness, compassion, and diversity. In the UK, they painted over Mickey Mouse, in case he comforted scared children. It's the same cruelty and ideology fuelled destruction.
Bluesky post from Frank Figliuzzi:
"The FBI’s core values, including integrity, compassion, fairness, and allegiance to the Constitution - and oh, yeah, diversity, are being painted over at the FBI Academy. Source: NYT."July 2023 news article from the Guardian:
"Robert Jenrick has cartoon murals painted over at children’s asylum centre
Paintings were considered too welcoming at Kent centre for lone children arriving in UK"

All this administration does is put every single nonprofit and institution into a trolley problem of either sacrificing trans people or hurting everyone else by eliminating federal funding. It won't end with us. They'll do this with every minority until it's only white men who are left.
A digitally edited version of the classic "trolley problem" meme is shown. The black-and-white drawing depicts a trolley heading toward a fork in the tracks, with a person standing by a lever to decide which track the trolley will take. On one track, five people are tied up, while on the other track, two people are tied up, with one of them draped in a transgender pride flag. The image is meant to represent a moral dilemma, likely related to discussions on transgender rights and societal choices.

The things I find myself blocking from the Discover feed on here are so strange. I have no problem with either Scottish Independence or Veganism, even the promotion of those causes. It’s just that together they seem to make up 20% of that tab.

The language here is attempts to be medically scientific by using legal-feeling clauses in order to mitigate the sex/gender/society construct. As many people in the replies point out, sex simply doesn’t work like this through scientific observation.

"Masculine Energy"
Panel 1: Mark Zuckerberg stands on the stage at a Meta all-hands meeting, wearing a little chain and a shirt that says "Cool Dude." "I think our company could use more Masculine Energy," he says into a mic. In the crowd, an employee raises their hand. "Excuse me, Mr. Zuckerberg," the person asks. Panel 2: The person stands up, asking, "By "Masculine Energy," do you mean a mature definition where men in power use their relative strength to protect and uplift those less privileged?" Panel 3: The person continues, "…or a more childish definition where men in power are free to be aggressive and harm others without being held accountable?" Panel 4: Zuck stands silent for a beat. Panel 5: "You're all fired," he says.
