Friday morning, I was gardening when I checked my phone. A request had gone out for help. For 25+ hours, ICE had been laying siege to a quiet neighborhood in Frederick, MD. Community members were afraid, some didn’t want to leave their homes. ICE vehicles seemed to be lurking on every corner.

Just came back from Coyote vs Acme. The niece theoretically went to Oxford for law school. UK pals, I can’t recall any cartoons from the BBC that weren’t for kids. Was there anything even remotely similar? Trying to think of the UK TV landscape with toons present in the population.

Dreamed I was watching an episode of The Pitt that was a flashback to Robbie’s early career. They had very obviously just taken footage from episodes of ER, then ‘attempted’ to hide it by replacing everyone’s face with young Noah Wylie’s. Theoretically it was to show how overworked he was.

Welp, there it is. The CDC is now officially manipulating data and their count of measles deaths in 2026 now stands at ZERO. My understanding of reportable diseases is that the CDC would usually use a state health department’s determination as the final say. The new CDC Director is failing us.
