I should add to this that while Electro UK faked a British electro movement, there were plenty of UK electro records at the time. Also, there wasn't really an electro scene in the States, just loads of disparate tracks made by jazz musicians, techno pioneers, post-punks etc

Brett Gelman as Murray Bauman in disguise as Austin the delivery driver in Stranger Things. He's holding up the 1986 cassette reissue of A Love Supreme which he has hidden an engagement ring for Steve Harrington inside. It's not clear if Harrington ever listens to the album, but I'd like to see a spin-off series which follows Harrington as he gets involved in the late 80s jazz scene, rallying once more against evil, this time in the form of modern jazz production and digital restoration

Around this time 40 years ago, our headmaster was away and handed assembly duties (which normally consisted of songs like 'Cross Over The Road') to our PE teacher who got the entire school to dance and sing along to The Birdie Song. He was arrested soon after for sexually assaulting 6 students
