It's Jasper's 1 year gotchaversary. Onyx's is in a few days. When I adopted them, the shelter hadn't had the chance to get them neutered yet, so I had to wait for them to get fixed before they could actually come home. So, they're brothers that I adopted together, but they have different gotcha days

Some folks want the Sentinelese people to be the executioners of people that annoy us. The Sentinelese deserve better. What's "illegal", in practice, is not only what is literally in conflict with the law but also anything close enough to the law to make someone worried about litigation risk. An abortion exception for rape and incest, for example, is ineffective because how does the doctor prove that?

I made sure to trim Jasper's claws before Dad's visit. I didn't really push the issue with Onyx because Onyx has way better claw discipline than Jasper. I forgot that Jasper is shy around strangers. He did not come within 10 ft of Dad the whole time 🤦.
