What we learned from the Merrick Garland debacle: In 2029 the DOJ is going to be hiring 1000s of prosecutors to handle the cleanup, led by AG Jack Smith. They will not be wearing kid gloves. Their mission will not be one of kindness, only justice.

Kemi is once again confronted by her arch-enemy, ANY DETAILS AT ALL. thecritic.co.uk/kane...
Unfortunately, like, I don’t know, the results of a charity fundraiser for the Kurds, the Tory claims for what they’re proposing grew a little in the telling. Newspapers everywhere were calling it a British “Iron Dome”, referring to Israel’s comprehensive – and expensive – system.

Nick Ferrari of LBC, a man who is to political weakness what Godzilla is to a Tokyo suburb, was doubtful that it would be possible to build a missile defence network that would defend the whole UK. “Well, because it’s mobile, it can,” Badenoch said, faltering slightly.

The LBC man closed in. “Is it moved by sea? By land? By air?”

“I do know that it would move,” the Conservative leader said. “I think certainly by sea.” She tried to explain. “It’s not one thing that’s sitting in one place.”

Ferrari wouldn’t let go. “How many units are there?” If the Daily Star’s barrister had been this good, Archer’s political career might have ended in 1987.

“How many units?” Badenoch repeated. “I can’t…” She resorted to

Here’s Yusuf on the same theme. “State-sponsored incitement” to what exactly ? And he’s going to order the Navy to sink small boats? Very Trumpian
All this, so that a group of almost all men from countries that hate Britain, who just invaded our shores, could be escorted to their free hotel.
The political class is now wielding the state's monopoly on violence to impose invading men on British people, and crushing dissent.
This is state-sponsored incitement.
Burnham knows exactly what he's doing.
The sick irony is these men are invading right by Portsmouth, the home of our Royal Navy.
As Home Secretary, I would ensure our Navy would not sit idly by and watch this tragedy unfold.
They would be ordered into the Channel with clear orders:
To see that NOT A SINGLE ONE of these invaders makes it to our shores.
I promise you that.

For a long time I've wanted a sense of how trump has or hasn't interacted with chatbots (we know he posts a lot of slop sure). And this TIME anecdote about Grok arguably leading Trump into war is just extremely bracing
Since returning to office, Trump has marveled at AI’s capabilities. He is increasingly in thrall to the tech executives courting him. In December 2025, Elon Musk returned to the Oval Office for a clandestine meeting. Trump spent hours asking Grok, Musk’s AI chatbot, questions about his presidency and legacy, according to an official present. At the time, Trump was ordering missile strikes against Venezuelan boats he alleged were smuggling drugs into the U.S. He asked Grok how Venezuelans would react if the U.S. captured Maduro. According to the official present, the chatbot responded that Maduro was a repressive and deeply unpopular dictator and that many Venezuelans would likely celebrate his downfall. After Trump ordered the mission to seize Maduro, the following month, celebrations broke out in the streets. Trump, according to officials, came away thinking Grok was ingenious.
