Sainsbury's? They charge you for it then issue you a voucher for the extra cost which you can use for up to 30 days. If it's cheaper I think they just refund the difference when the order's picked. I think Tesco still give you the substitution for no extra charge but it's been a while.

I'm still boggling over the noodles. You're a supermarket picker, stood in front of the Stir Fry Meal Deal. There aren't any spicy egg noodles - I'd grab the regular egg noodles as a substitute. A veg pack makes absolutely no sense.

The difference in UK and US temperament is in the UK we “couldn’t care less” and the Yanks “could care less”. So the UK starts at complete disinterest, but the US has an innate level of enthusiasm that still has the capacity to move downwards. The Aussies, of course, don’t give a fuck.

#Quantel repair time! Salvaged two NVRAMs from a dead CPU43 board so they can be used as replacements on CPU board that needs new ones. Quite a job to remove them as the 'Snaphat' ICs are SMD so Quantel made these adaptor boards with very fiddly turned pins. All good to go!

I've never seen a working one. The Rodime drives inside them are pushing 40 years old now, and they were hit-and-miss when they were new. Both of the ones I saw had bad spindle bearings. I suppose you could get one going with a Pico506 or Decromancer board - but at that point it's a big empty box.

Interesting advert! Back in 1995 at university I made a hologram using a HeNe (Helium Neon) laser. I still have the glass photographic plate. The dark smudge in the middle is the interference pattern of the hologram. It can only be viewed by shining a HeNe back through it. (632.8nm wavelength)
