Interesting how some women who valiantly fought gender wars now using same tropes beloved of transactivists to defend decriminalisation of late term abortion.
- AS IF there will be thousands of sinister men who want to predate in changing rooms/ women lining up to get rid of their babies! (there won't be, but still need legal deterrent for the few, especially with pills-by-post in the mix).
- AS IF anyone would do that if they were not totally desperate/ in danger/ traumatised etc! (fact check: there are lots of different motivations, humans are diverse. Check out the stories of actual matricide!
The idealisation of 50% of the population is stupid wherever you find it ).
- It is MY RIGHT to do what I want to my body, regardless of consquences for others ( how is that not just abject narcissism and selfishness? We aren't living in the 18th Century. Every possible form of contraception was already available. How can it be ok to prefer to try and get rid of a later term baby
- especially when you have to go through labour either way - rather than deliver it for adoption?).

Labour is now, in practice, the most anti-migrant, anti-trans, anti most marginalised groups to be honest, government for decades. That doesn't help reduce bills or make it easier to find a job, rent, buy etc. It just further dehumanises already marginalised individuals for a political soundbite.

no left wing voters voted for a left wing party. the only left wing party on the ballot. im confused by this line that jus bcos ppl didn't vote for labour they must be voting against them... as tho there are no other factors at play. greens won with 40% of the vote. that's not a protest vote.

Labour lost three council seats last night. 1 each to the Greens, Lib dems and Plaid. Reform were 2nd or 3rd in each. The Greens also won and beat Reform in another local election. So when they say vote Labour to stop Reform, they couldn't be more wrong. Vote almost anyone but Labour to beat Reform.
