Deadwood is where I start the era of Prestige television and it deserves it in every measure. That said, in my book, Rome deserved much more praise than it has received. The entire first season is absolute excellence. Writing, casting, acting, costume, sound design, lighting...Every scene hits.

Last Halloween I was at show in SF with lots of people in costumes. Hanging outside I see a guy: short red hair, round face, 90's Gap and outfit. Spitting image. So I say, 'hey, I like one of your songs', and he's like "????!" I say, " 'cos you look just like Ed Sheeran. Is this not a costume?"
