Ces 855 personnes, dont les noms ont été réunis par le Collectif Les Morts de la rue, avaient 48 ans en moyenne : 19 enfants de moins de quatre ans, dont sept étaient hébergés, sept adolescents entre 15 et 18 ans, 703 hommes, 112 femmes, 40 personnes de genre inconnu et une personne transgenre. Un hommage est prévu ce mardi 20 mai de 18 heures à 21 heures 30, au parc de Belleville à Paris (entrée côté rue Piat). La Croix s’y associe en publiant cette liste.

The big story here isn’t the failure of direct air capture (DAC) as a CO₂ removal (CDR) technique. It’s that Iceland is turning its back on CDR. Social acceptance is so important for CDR to succeed in the long term, and not enough effort is being put into this.

I will forever be haunted by this footage. Trawling has only been filmed underwater a few times in documentary history, and never with such clarity. What’s so heart-rending about these shots is watching how the animals don’t just get swept up — they swim for their lives. 🌎🦑🧪
