it is shockingly easy to post AI generated music under the name of real artists on Spotify. It took us five minutes to do. You can do it to small bands, dead artists, even Taylor Swift. This is a giant loophole in digital music distribution that's widely abused www.404media.co/spotify-ai-m...

It's good to see the dirty politics/PR attack machine's anti-3Waters campaign called out as the misleading racist, naked money-grubbing BS exercise it was. I haven't read Nicky Hager's book 'Dirty Work' yet, but that definitely gels.

Any statement that starts, “But Taxpayers Union chair RUTH RICHARDSON says…” does not make the case that the dirty PR attack machine isn’t the ‘hard right’ smear & influence machine we all know it is. NZ news media have for years pretended they believed David Farrar’s & Jordan Williams’ charade.

Could I mention that facts that emerged & judgments resulting from Jordan Williams’ failed defamation case against Colin Craig led to Justice Katz & I finding him to be deeply untrustworthy (indeed a treacherous little toe rag) despite his effusive character witnesses Ruth Money and his Mum.

It'd be good if Nikcy Hager's revelations re dirty PR attack machine 'NZ Taxpayers Union' led to a wave of admissions by media figures that they'd foolishly 'worked too closely' & collaborated with Jordan Williams & David Farrar. Cameron Slater's Whaleoil sank like a stone after 'Dirty Politics'.

I heard NZ Greens co-leader Chlöe Swarbrick interviewed by Guyon Espiner today on RNZ Midday report. So refreshing to hear an intelligent, articulate politician capable of following a train of thought and addressing the point. Such a CONTRAST to the ducking & diving & shallow jargon of Chris Luxon.

Good to see media are “moving on” from bumbling Luxon’s leadership woes. Oh, what? Note that self-referencing National Party aligned columnist Audrey Young attempts to rehabilitate Hooton’s “Villainous Five” as mere “numpties”. (Audrey is nothing if not reliably in the tank.)

This thread is worth your time. I agree with Lew on the corrosive effect of Luxon/Nats agreeing to go through the motions on Treaty Principles Bill. It showed his insincerity, willingness to ‘perform’ & most of all lack of moral compass. Bashing Maori interests as fodder is colonial & deeply racist.

"If this caucus is too weak to make this decision, then the voters will make it for them." "...these five, are the real villains of today: Erica Stanford, Chris Bishop, Nicola Willis, Simeon Brown, Mark Mitchell. They refused to compromise with one another…None of them would concede to the other."
The Post’s Andrea Vance and Matthew Hooton analyse the aftermath of Christopher Luxon surviving a National Party confidence vote.

Hooton said there were five contenders who were profiled in The Post this morning, and all of them he thinks an objective observer would say, "would do a better job as prime minister and leader of the National Party than Christopher Luxon".

"But it seems that they are all too interested in their own careers, all too interested in being the one that would become the prime minister, and as a result of that, this attitude that 'if it can't be me, then we will stick with Luxon'.

"Because of that attitude, those five people have let down the National Party, and they have left the National Party with a leader who risks taking them to its worst ever result, which was 20.93% in 2002."

Hooton went on to identify them calling them "villians".

"These people, these five, are the real villains of today: Erica Stanford, Chris Bishop, Nicola Willis, Simeon Brown, Mark Mitchell.

"They refused to compromise with one another. They refused to behave like adults and they refused to do what all of them knew needed to be done.

"And that is a disgrace. And National Party members should be very angry."
