Neighbor tricked me into eating a Ouija board. Disguised it as a square pizza. He was trying to turn me into a doorway to unknown realms, but all that happened was I puked up a little goblin foot. He was so embarrassed I ended up buying him a real pizza to cheer him up.

My favorite iPhone autocorrect is in the split second after you hit 'send' and it decides a name you've typed (accurately) couldn't possibly be the name you mean, and it spontaneously changes it to another name. That's just extremely helpful and I'm always so very fucking grateful when it happens.

I worked at the Portland Oregonian for 11 years, and was a tv columnist for eight. I could mostly write what I wanted but it was their paper, and if they didn’t want to publish a piece, they didn’t. I wasn’t being silenced, I was working within my employers’ limits. (1/2)

I saw a trailer for the movie tho, and based on that (very incomplete) info I had the unsettling feeling that in this case the studio suits who spiked the movie were probably....right. #DaveMarsh ... I admired Dave's politics and his commitment to social justice. He could be prickly, and I managed to trigger his anger a few times. But I never lost my admiration for him. Dave changed my life, and I know I'm nowhere close to alone in that. He was a great writer and an great man.
