Trying to balance the fact that there is a literacy crisis with the idea that libraries MUST help patrons use AI to stay relevant. It's like we have to do whatever everyone wants, or we aren't relevant. It feels like a threat. What about our foundation- you know, books and the literacy crisis?

My side project for self-amusement at the moment is a minimal academic profile generator built with Zola and pulling all it's data from Zotero. It's primarily meant to make it easy for people to share green open access publications.
Screen capture of a website displaying my basic details including a photo, name, and brief bio. There's also a link to download a CSV. Underneath the bio details is a list of selected articles. The articles have green badges indicating that open access Author Accepted Manuscript versions are available and a blue button for more details.

Scholarly Communication position descriptions 2015
This is a collection of job descriptions that I have found through discussion lists and social media - they are not a complete set of scholarly communication jobs advertised in this year. I started the collection when I established the Office of Scholarly Communication at Cambridge University in 2015. I was interested to understand why and how these new roles were developing and there was an issue of the lack of standardisation of job titles at the time which appears to have resolved a decade later. The file naming format is Year_JobTitle_Institution The dataset is openly available for others to use for their research. Links to the complete set from 2015 are: https://zenodo.org/records/22052141 https://zenodo.org/records/22052174 https://zenodo.org/records/22052306 https://zenodo.org/records/22052353 https://zenodo.org/records/22052449 https://zenodo.org/records/22052517 https://zenodo.org/records/22052579 https://zenodo.org/records/22052618 https://zenodo.org/records/22052676 https://zenodo.org/records/22052730 https://zenodo.org/records/22052023
