Another comment on this: Unless specifically designed to be, a #PbtA game is not played as a "GOTCHA!" game where the GM is there to screw with the players. BE A FAN OF THE PLAYERS' CHARACTERS is a foundational sentiment in Apocalypse World and #PbtA only really works if that's in the MC's heart.

Storytelling is ancient, and there are so many storytelling traditions that we can use techniques from to be better players and performers. Improv and theatre are not the end all be all for ttrpg storytelling.
