A few things (international) commentatoes should remember. Only 2 million people live in Sachsen-Anhalt. Half of Berlin, a tenth of NRW. Around 400k will vote AfD. Even with this strong result, 80% of people living in S-A will not have voted for the AfD. In a state that is a far-right stronghold.

Excited to present work with @payoub.bsky.social at APSA in Boston. We study a real-world disinformation event in which a Swedish far-right organization abused the visual identity of Swedish LGBTQ+ civil-society organizations to make it appear as though they support the legalization of paedophilia.

We're thrilled to pass the EJPG to @maarja.bsky.social and @grahn.bsky.social's fantastic new team. Taking on a journal is an enormous act of volunteer service to our gender & politics community. We are deeply grateful—and so excited to see the new voices, conversations, and directions they bring.

Barely processing the pain of yet another visible act of violence (alongside all the other acts that go unseen to the outside), while immediately also having to worry about how that pain will be instrumentalized (by those who don't care about our wellbeing anyway) to do other abhorrent things.
