It does not escape me that, back in July when Miss 13 had her well child check up which was required in order to discuss psych meds, I had my period and was struggling. And now that we're having the psych medicine appointment, I have my period and am struggling.

There's a female house finch with a terrible injury to her back that's been surviving for a couple weeks now by sheltering in our landscape bed at night and camping out under the feeders during the day. She can fly a little but not very high and it's sort of a crooked, sideways flight. Poor thing.

My cycle before perimenopause was 28 days like clockwork. My cycle since peri has hit has averaged 25 days but has been as short as 3 days (sob). I'm sitting at 30 days right now. A first! I'm sure it'll show up like a wrecking ball any minute but maybe I get to start skipping periods soon!

I've not seen any woodchucks for months and am so sad about it. But I do have a floofy gray squirrel that is SO BUSY. Idk what he's gathering - I don't think the acorns have dropped yet. But he is the busiest boy and he's burying all his treasures in the new soft landings bed under the poplar.

Husband and Miss 13 had another helping for a bedtime snack and then Miss 13 went back for thirds and asked me to make it for Thanksgiving. Miss 13 has had regular gluten mac n cheese several times from restaurants and says this is the best ever so I guess that's a #GlutenFree win.
