Here's a neat thing! My mom retired after 25+ as a children's librarian at public libraries yesterday. (It was very cool! Hundreds of former Story Hour kids arrived, some as adults!) I let Ed Markey's office know in case they wanted to send a nice email back and they sent this! He's still got it!

50 tons of books in one order! A lot of “rare” books are out of print for a reason — technical manuals for dead software, etc — but it’s galling to see them scanned, destroyed, and then the scans fed to a private black box rather than made publicly accessible via something like @archive.org

Again, 5 years ago, none of these policies existed. 15 states require the forced outing of trans students 16 states ban medicaid coverage of gender affirming care 14 states have "Don't say trans" laws banning discussion of trans people's identities. 29 states have banned participation in sports.
